Noosa Surfing
One of the few beaches along Australia's coastline that faces north. It has moderate waves and is safe for swimming all year round. There is a car park at the entrance to the National Park that has facilities like, telephones, toilets, showers, and an information area. There are some excellent surf spots along the coastline as you move your way around the the headland. Two smaller beaches that dish up good surf in the right conditions. Clothes are optional at this beach ensuring it doesn't get as busy as Noosa's main beach. It's worth the walk on busy days. Runs south from Alexandria Bay at the south end of the national park. Sunshine is the most popular beach for surfer's in the area because it's the most reliable surf beach. Sunshine Beach extends 15 km's south to Point. |
