Noosa Triathalon - 30th October to 4th November

The Noosa Triathlon attracts over 8,500 competitors and is one of the biggest triathlon events in Australia. It’s the second biggest sporting event in Queensland for the states tourist dollar, after the gold coast Indy.

The course starts at the Noosa Heads Lions Triathlon Park and includes a 1500m canal swim, a 40km undulating road cycle and a 10km run through Noosa Sound leading back to Noosa Heads Lions Triathlon Park.

There is total road closure because of the filed size for the cycle and run sections of the course.

Individuals can compete in the full course of limit there entry to just one section as part of team.

The weather for the Noosa event is generally warm and humid.

The Triathlon in Noosa is just one of the many events held as part of the Noosa Multi Sport festival including a kids only triathlon, Superkidz, the Noosa run swim run for all levels of skill and abilities, a Noosa celebrity Golf tournament, the Tour de Noosa cycle competition, the Noosa breakfast fun run, Volleyball skins, the Noosa Ocean swim and the Noosa special triathlon for athletes with special intellectual needs.
